Kent & Alison Pfeister founded TLC Child Development Center in 1989 when they could not find quality child care for their new baby, Alexandra, the youngest of their six daughters. Guided by a sense of purpose and the belief that they could make a difference, the Pfeisters bought, renovated, and transformed the old Victory Life Christian Church into Hudson's premier child care and educational center.
Kent, an experienced teacher and coach of 35 years, and Alison, former teacher and current attorney and mediator, developed and implemented TLC's educational programs, curricula, teacher training, and evaluation process. Every decision was based on their philosophy, "The best is the least we can do for each child at TLC".
For more than twenty years, TLC's dedicated, caring, and professional teachers and staff, combined with the support and generosity of parents, have enabled TLC to continue its tradition of providing excellence in child care, with outstanding educational programs.
TLC received an Award for Excellence in Early Child Care & Education from the Dept. of Jobs and Family Services, Ohio's child care licensing agency. Only the top child care programs in Ohio receive this prestigious award.
