This week the toddlers put baking soda in some Easter eggs and added vinegar for a fun and fizzy experiment. A big part of Reggio is letting the kids tell us what they would like to learn about, and even though Easter is over, the kids are still very interested in it. Using the droppers was a great way for them to work on their fine motor skills, pinching and then releasing it so the vinegar would go into the eggs. They had a blast watching the baking soda fizz, one student was even repeating himself, "SO FUN!"
Easter, what an egg-cellent way to to get into the spirit than decorating eggs? Each room has their own way of decorating them, some choose to do more than one and this is just the beginning. Hopefully our eggs can give you some Easter inspiration!
